12/29/2023 0 Comments For apple download Magic Disk CleanerThe keyboard and the Magic Mouse both work (I was able to successfully use them on my MacBook Pro). However, I had issues connecting the mouse via Bluetooth to the iMac (I was able to open Bluetooth settings, find the mouse but when I’d highlight it and press enter it wouldn’t try to connect to the Magic Mouse (it runs on batteries so I could not try connecting via usb). When I turned on the iMac for the very first time, it made me sign into a guest account (previous user reset it and created guest account). I recently bought a late 2015 21.5-inch iMac from somebody. I’ve read multiple forums for hours and everytime I get past a roadblock another one appears. I even managed to get my hands on a re-installation disc from 2009 and the iMac just spits it out after a few seconds of trying to read it so im assuming the laser in the disc drive must be bad.Īm i sc****d here? or am i just missing something?Ĭannot install macOS Sierra on late 2015 IMac Hello Everyone, I’m so lost and truly need help. No matter what i do i cant get this thing to boot into any kind of recovery. I've tried resetting the PRAM a few times (which seems to work since it auto reboots after hearing the startup chyme, yet still no luck). I try to then boot into recovery with command + r or in this case the windows key + r, and still no luck (again ive tried about 20 times and i even used a second keyboard in case my first one was messing up). So i used Ghost and imaged his drive over to my 500GB so i would have something to play with, and yet the ghost image wont boot (loading bar gets half way) but at least its recognized. I even went as far as to borrow back my buddies HDD that still boots in this iMac just as a test to make sure the thing still works and sure enough it does. I even tried to just let it sit there hoping it would boot off the USB stick but even after 30 min it still sat there with the question mark on the screen. I did with this with two different USB sticks and yet neither one of them are recognized when i boot the iMAC (by holding the option key as soon as i turn it on, or in this case the Alt key since im using a PC keyboard). I've used TransMac on my PC to create a bootable USB stick with Sierra on it and again no luck (i told TransMac to restore image to disc with a copy of Sierra that i downloaded straight from Apple's website). I've tried to boot into internet recovery, but that doesn't work (tried atleast 20 times). So i installed a spare 500GB HDD that i had, blank, and now im trying to get Sierra re-installed but im having zero luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() I have never owned a MAC before, im mainly a PC guy, but my wife has always wanted to try out a MAC before so i thought this would be the perfect opportunity. So i was gifted a late 2009 27" iMac with no HDD, no keyboard and no mouse and no re-installation software.
